Festivities begin at 12:00 noon and end at 4:00 pm. Come for any or all of the events.
Come one and all. Celebrate another growing year with wonderful people and tasty food. Free and open to everyone.
We'd also like to encourage you to visit the CitySeed Worcester Square Farmer's Market before the meeting. Bill Duesing will be giving a tour of the market at 10:30, featuring some of our member farms and the various organic certification and Farmer's Pledge programs.

1:00 – 2:00 pm ~ Pot luck meal
Bring something you like
to share and its recipe or a description. It doesn't have to be all
organic or vegetarian. Something from your farm or garden is always
appreciated.
Please bring your own plate, cup and utensils in order to minimize paper
and plastic waste. We will provide beverages. Potluck food safety guidelines.

2:45– 3:45 ~ Speaker Rep. Richard Roy
Representative Roy will address recent legislative efforts to label products in Connecticut that contain Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs).
There will be time for Q&A.

3:45 ~ CT NOFA Member of the Year Award ~ Sal Gilbertie
Sal is the largest herb grower in the United States and owner of Gilbertie’s Herb Gardens in Westport and Gilbertie’s Wholesale farm in Easton, CT, both of which were converted to certified organic a few years ago. He also conducts workshops, supports community garden projects in Bridgeport and has authored five books, the most recent of which is Small Plot, High-Yield Gardening which will be available for purchase at the meeting.
