The Getting Started in Organic Farming Conference draws both beginning farmers who choose to farm organically and established farmers who are converting their operations to organic.

Featured Speaker:
Ryan Voiland
of Red Fire Farm in Massachusetts will speak  about his own development as a farmer, starting in high school, and will present his current methods for planning and managing all aspects of his farm, including both the biological side and the business side. 




In  addition, we will have speakers on organic certification, on soil and weed management, and a panel of farmers to talk about marketing organic  food.

Fee (includes lunch): $30 for CT NOFA members, $40 for non-members.
