1/6/15   Farmers Wanted - I am a breeder of Welsummer chickens, a relatively rare breed of beautiful, docile chickens that can lay extremely dark brown large eggs, if selected properly.  I can only raise a few chickens at my home, however, so I would be willing to work with a farmer to increase their numbers.  I can supply the fertilized eggs or chicks and I would be open to supporting the farmer financially for a limited time until he/she/they can start selling eggs on their own.  In addition, I would like to start raising a very rare breed, Cream Legbars, that lay blue eggs.  Both of these breeds can be sexed as chicks so one can eventually sell sexed chicks and/or pullets at a good profit. I would prefer a farm in the northwestern part of the state but that is not required. Anyone interested should contact me by email at rherman@plantsman.us
