1/27/15   Position Available - Friends of Boulder Knoll (FOBK), a Cheshire-based organization that works to promote local agriculture and food access through our farming operations and educational programs, is seeking a grant writer to help grow the organization. A grant writer will assist the Board of Directors with researching foundations and corporations, evaluating grant prospects, preparing submitting, and managing grants. The grant writer will work to grow FOBK’s small existing fundraising base and build lasting relationships with foundations and corporate donors. We are seeking a self-starter who can  play a large role in shaping the position. Previous experience with grant-writing and non-profit fundraising preferred. Must be able to work closely with a volunteer Board of Directors and farm staff. Grant writer will work as an independent contractor, and compensation is negotiable.
